Today's tire and wheel technology is leaps and bounds ahead of what was around ten years ago. With custom mags costing thousands of dollars for a set, ultra low profile tires, run flat tire technology, and ultra high performance tires, you need a tire changer that won't damage the tire or wheel while also assuring that the tire is properly mounted. The old school tire changers seen in most shops just doesn't cut it anymore.
At Double D, we invested in the state of the art equipment: an Artiglio Master 26. It features automatic mount/demount; computerized control system; push-button technology; no pry bars or tire tools; no damage to wheels; and no damage to tires. What makes it so much better than the other tire changers? Simply put, it's because it is computer-controlled. The same robotic technology that can churn out thousands of defect-free cars every day has been put to use in the Artiglio. By automating virtually all steps in the tire changing process, mistakes are eliminated and the operator can concentrate on the job of installing the tire onto the wheel and performing a quality control inspection instead of becoming exhausted from manhandling tires all day.
Our tire bay is equipped with a low profile hydraulic lift to slip under the lowest of low riders and has the latest technology in high speed wheel balancing (crucial for high performance cars), and a nitrogen filling system for improved tire life, handling, and safety.
